Medium to tall shrub to 5m, erect or sprawling. Found mostly in subtropical rainforest and wet tropical rainforest north from Nambucca R, NSW. Leaves strap-like and tufted at ends of branches, narrowed into a deeply-channelled petiole, the base of which widens into a sheath clasping the stem; tips with a few teeth. Blades to 80cm by 12cm, petioles to 45cm by 6mm.
