Shrub-small tree to 8m tall in subtropical and dry rainforest. From Hunter River, NSW to Cape York, QLD. Also known as Wild Lime, Wild Lemon, Brush Caper Berry, Noble Caper Mature leaves are ovate to oblong, blades usually 5-10 cm, usually hairless, sometimes slightly hairy below. Beautiful large lightly scented flowers are single or in pairs, creamy white from branchlet ends from December-January. Capparis from the ancient’s name for the common caper plant Capparis spinosa. Fruit is a dark green berry up to 40mm in diameter containing numerous seeds in a soft pulp
