Notes
Shrub or tree to 20m, found in dry rainforest and its margins and in littoral rainforest. Leaves compound, with rachis tip extended, young growth and terminal buds yellowish and hairy. Two to six leaflets, alternate or opposite on rachis, thin, glossy green above, paler and sometimes hairy below. Leaflets blunt or notched at the apex. Flowers greenish yellow in terminal panicles. Appear Feb to March. Fruit an orange capsule with 3-4 lobes, each containing a black seed surrounded by a fleshy red aril. Slow growing; bird attractor.
